How can a culturally inspired design promote pedestrian activity along a busy street?
Like many Mexican restaurants, El Atacor # 8, did not always have healthy or vegetarian options on their menu. With the support of the CA FreshWorks Fund’s Food Enterprise Microlending Program, we lent our design expertise to create a new marketing strategy for this east LA restaurant that celebrates its new healthy food options.
Today, El Atacor # 8 has new signage and menus that attract new patrons while serving healthier food to their customers. Green Cities Company provided food procurement and project management, while Love LIfe Eat Well advised on new recipes and ingredients. LA-Más managed all graphic design related to this project, including a new menu, signage, and marketing materials that is culturally relevant and inspired by the business owner’s love for the Mexican flag.
