Frogtown Artwalk 2016
What informal place-making and identifying elements exist in Frogtown and how can this inspire formal wayfinding designs?
Previous designs have included ephemeral wayfinding concepts and olympics-inspired supergraphics. For 2016, our proposal is home grown, in the front yards of the local residents of Frogtown. Wild succulents and cacti are some of the more prominent natural landmarks of the neighborhood and create an informal wayfinding, already present, in the neighborhood.
Through the use of materials like plexi-glass and el wire, these numbers will come alive for the 2016 Frogtown Artwalk. And, host sites will be the recipient of these cacti-inspired numbers, giving these pieces a home beyond the one day event!
