How can we help transform local markets to support a healthier community?

L.A. Grocery is among several small markets on Western Avenue in south L.A., but while there are food options in the area, healthy and fresh food is lacking. LA-Más partnered with the L.A. Food Policy Council and Team Friday to reimagine what a local market looks like and offers. With the commitment that the owner, Million Sum, will offer fresh produce and healthy food options, LA-Más redesigned the interior and exterior of L.A. Grocery.

The exterior’s vibrant and graphic designs attracts pedestrians and drivers passing by on Western Avenue and the interior features new paint, layout, and clear signage for customers to easily find what they are looking for.
